This painting inspired by Richmond on Thames shows the rhythm of life flowing through both the river and its banks. I spent time by the water's edge, painting en plein air and soaking in the atmosphere of such a lively part of London. The relationship between people and nature is at its best here, where the vibrancy of life itself has built up around the river - nature providing the energy and lifeblood to the community.
