This painting is inspired by a visit to Sunbury on Thames, opposite The Walled Garden, looking over the river towards the Middle Thames Yacht Club. I spent the morning painting 'En Plein Air' by the banks of the river, and the movement of the weather, river, and clouds inspired this interpretation, as well as the blue of the Yacht club building on the island opposite.
