This painting is of the South Tyne river, close to where I live in Alston. The river is constantly changing, as nature's power persistently battles with the local farmers as fences and fields are consumed by the rushing water. It is part of my 2023 River series, where I am concentrating on the relationship between people and nature with particular focus on rivers.
