Having spent an afternoon painting en plein air on the banks of the River Medway in Aylesford in Kent, I produced this as well as two other paintings. Inspired by the relationship between people and nature, the bridge is a natural point of interest, creating over thousands of years a community that relied on the natural forces around it for survival.
