An abstract landscape painting inspired by the docks at Le Havre, Northern France. I spent a day at Le Havre, studying the dockland, and was particularly struck by the two white EDF chimneys that strike through the sky line. As the mouth of the Seine river, I chose this location as part of my 2023 River series, to look at the relationship between people and nature and how we have used nature to enhance our lives.
