Exhibition Preparations for Dennis Killgallon Gallery by Helen Alice Johnson
Hello and welcome to my studio! I’m Helen Alice Johnson, a visual artist specialising in landscape paintings. This week, I’ve been working from my studio in Cumbria as I prepare for the Dennis Killgallon Gallery exhibition, which starts on the 6th of July.
New Landscape Paintings: Retreated Waters & Ebbing Light
In addition to getting ready for the exhibition, I’ve just finished two new paintings titled Retreating Waters and Ebbing Light, both inspired by Jock’s Bay in Scotland. They are now signed, framed, and ready to travel back to the UK for the upcoming show.
Artworks Available at Gigi's Dressing Room
On my quick trip to London, I collaborated with Gigi's Dressing Room to stock some of my art prints and original paintings. I'm excited to share that a range of smaller original artworks will also be available at Gigi's. If you missed my Open Studio, this is a perfect opportunity to view some of my work.
Preparing for the Dennis Killgallon Gallery Exhibition
Now back in Cumbria, I’ve been busy framing my latest work, including a painting titled Above and Below Cow Green. This piece is part of a trio of paintings that have just returned from France and will be showcased in the exhibition. I’m also thrilled to announce that one of my paintings, The Mines, was recently shortlisted from over 3,000 international entries—an achievement I’m particularly proud of.
Join Me at the Exhibition!
If you’re able, please join me at the Dennis Killgallon Gallery for the preview on July 6th. If you can’t make the preview, the exhibition will run until the 25th of August, so there’s plenty of time to stop by and see my latest landscape paintings and other works in person.
Stay tuned for more updates on my YouTube channel and Instagram—it’s going to be another big painting week, and I’m looking forward to sharing more of my progress with you soon!
